hi everyone,

Do all forms should be printed on LASER PRINTER?

Thanks
As opposed to what?
Inkjet - I don't think it makes any difference if it's this or laser. Maybe only if some moisture got to the papers and spread the ink.
Matrix - I wouldn't recommend it.
Thermal - I wouldn't recommend it.

Hi Betina,

Is it ok to print the generic forms on ink jet? Coz' I've seen somewhere that it said once u fillup this forms electronically (on computer), Laser jet printer is recommended to print the said forms.

And one more question, Do my father (principal applicant) required to fillup the IMM 0008DEP? Basically, my father has 2 dependants including my mom who will accompany to Canada and 6 more family members who will not accompanying and most of them has a family and over age.

Thanks for ur reply :)

I think the recommendation to use laser jet printers is because inkjet ones have a lower resolution. Even if you are not printing images, it's still easier to see if some boxes are grayed out by the software.

I have no experience with dependants or with sponsoring parents, but the guide says like this "If you have more than five (5) family members, you must complete the Additional Dependants /Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) (PDF, 472 KB) form for each additional family member in order to include everyone in your application." Also, the term dependant is not referring to any extended family. In the case of children, there are only 3 circumstances under which they are dependant:

Type A - The dependant is under the age of 22 and is single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).
Type B - The dependant has been continuously enrolled in and in attendance as a full‑time student at a post-secondary institution accredited by the relevant government authority and has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent either:
since before the age of 22, or
since marrying or entering into a common-law relationship (if it happened before the age of 22).
Type C -The dependant is 22 years of age or older, has depended substantially on the financial support of a parent since before the age of 22, and is unable to provide for himself or herself because of a medical condition.
Am I understanding correctly that you want to sponsor your parents?
