Hello everybody,
This is truly a confusing thing for me at the moment. If anyone with any experience can help me out, I will greatly appreciate it. PLEASE. Need an answer or reply ASAP as I am done nearly the whole application except for this stupid part. It has been bugging me and Google is not helping with the search results.
1) On my wife's passport, her name goes like this:
Name: her name and her dads name. All on one line. So there is no last/family or given/first name.
So for example:
Name: Kiran Kaur Jagdeep Singh (took random names) -- the latter name is her dads and the former is hers. I am having trouble with the application because they ask for given name and family name. So I simply want to put her name; so say Kiran under given name and Kaur under family name. I don't want her dads name in it because otherwise freaking Canada and the CIC will put her dads name as her last/family name on the PR card and put her first/given name as Kiran Kaur.
And they will refer to her with her dads name as people here refer to you with your last name.
So can someone tell me if it's okay if I just put Kiran as first and last name (Kaur) and explain why it differentiates from her passport?
Thank you very much guys. Really.
Regards,
Rishi.
