Hello guys,
My wife started her Canadian PR process via express entry. With her profile (only) and score, she got an Invitation to Apply and we now have 60 days to submit her application with all the documents. Now, we have a chance of adding myself to her profile and hence submit my application and documents (like PCC and other educational, employment documents) as a secondary applicant. My questions are:
1. Should I just add myself to her application and hence submit my documents as well or give IELTS and submit my application independently? Looking for recommendations. Are there any caveats to submit my application as secondary applicants?
2. If I add myself (as Secondary applicant) and keep my wife as primary applicant, assuming we get our PR approved, will we be treated differently while searching for jobs, or health benefits etc? Or the 'tag' of primary vs secondary applicant becomes irrelevant once we have our physical PR cards in hand?
3. Assuming we (myself and my wife) submit our application on 20th September 2018, and assuming we get our PRs approved with stamped visa on Passport on 20th March 2019 (for example), what would be the cut off date to enter the Canadian land to claim our physical PR cards? Will it be one year from our application submission date (i.e 1 year from 20th Sept 2018), or 1 year from PR approval date (i.e. 1 year from 20th March 2019) or something else?
Thank you for your help in advance.
