Primary Occupation - Question

Hi Everyone

I am just starting to apply in the Federal Express Entry category and I had a question about the primary occupation,

My work experience is as follows:

Year NOC

2004-2007 2173 (software engineer)
2007-2013 2171 (quality analyst)

2013-2015 - Did my full time MBA

2015-present 1122 (management consultant)

Obviously, I want to pursue a career in the 1122 category. However, most of my experience falls in the 2171 category.

I had the following questions:

a) Should the primary occupation NOC code be the one where I have most experience in?
b) If I choose 1122 as my NOC code for the primary occupation, will that be an issue in the future when I submit my application? (I noticed that my CRS overall score does not change regardless of which NOC code I choose)

Could you please advise?

You are free to choose your NOC based on your intentions for future work. As you have indicated you should use 1122 and MBA completion date will be the date when you became eligible to work in this occupation.
