Hi all,
I'll have to give you a little info about my situation before I can ask my questions, please bare with me:
I've been working for the same company in Canada since 09/17 and have been pretty much doing the same job, which is running a chocolate store.
When I started working there I just had a Working Holiday Visa and no specific job title. When my WHV expired 6 months later, I applied for the Young Professional Visa with the job title Food and Beverage Manager (NOC0631). Following the YP Visa we applied for an LMIA as a Food & Beverage Service Supervisor (NOC 6311), which was based on a Temporary Work Permit AND the following PR application. The LMIA application was done by an Immigration Consultant so I don't really know much about it and like I said, the job I'm doing has never really changed, just the titles did. Anyways, I got the TWP in 11/20 and it got granted for two years and now I'm filling out the EE Profile to apply for a PR.. Now let's get to the questions:
Q1: Work History - primary occupation:
Which NOC Number do I put in? I've been working in the Tourism and Hospitality Industry pretty much all my life and have a diploma as well, which would qualify me for both NOC 6311 (F&B Supervisor) as well as NOC 0631 (F&B Manager). My LMIA is based on NOC 6311 but if I give that as a primary occupation I'm only eligible for the Canadian Experience Class and not the Federal Skilled Worker. If I would give NOC 0631 as a primary occupation I think I would be eligible for both, but I'm not sure if I can do that when my LMIA is granted for a Supervisor position.
Q2: Work History - intended work in Canada
I got the positive LMIA decision letter from my consultant but again, I don't really understand much. In the EE Profile they are asking about the LMIA number, issue date and expiry date. I got the number and the issue date (03/06/2020). But it was only valid for 6 months and the expiry date was on 09/06/2020. Here is a part of the letter:
This positive LMIA is issued with reference to your stated commitment to support both a work permit
application and a permanent residence application (this means the employer will hire the foreign national as
a temporary foreign worker before or while the permanent residence application is being processed).
Does that mean I can use this LMIA number even though it has expired or do I have to do something else?
Last but not least:
Q3: Personal details - Immigration History and Citizenships
I submitted an EE Profile two years ago but withdraw it again because my CRS score was not high enough and we decided to take the LMIA route. Do I have to provide the EE profile number in the part where they ask me if I ever applied for EE before even though it was just withdrawn and not rejected.
I'd be very grateful if anyone could me help out with this!
TIA very very much
