I need some insight on the effects of changing one's Primary Occupation in the Express Entry profile after initially creating it with one and then changing it later.
I possess 1.5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer (NOC 2132) and when I had created my Express Entry profile this was the job with the longest work experience period. But, at the present moment, I'm currently working in a job which satisfies the characteristics of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineer NOC category (NOC 2141) and I currently possess around 2 years of experience in this NOC category.
I have the following questions;
1. Can the Primary Occupation have less work experience period than the other work experience?
2. Will continuing with the less work experience period raise eyebrows when the application gets reviewed by the Visa officer? (I'm a bit hesitant to change the Primary Occupation to the current one as this is not a field in which I want to pursue employment later. Does this have lasting impacts during the review?)
