Hi, I have received ITA under the CEC category on 15th August 2023. I have more than 2 years of experience in Canada in multiple NOCs. I have more than 5 years of experience outside Canada in the last ten years. All my foreign work experience is for NOC 21310 (Electrical and Electronics Engineers) which is almost 5.5 years but outside of Canada. Whereas, in Canada, I worked almost 7.5 months for NOC 22302(Manufacturing Engineering Technician), 9 months for NOC 22310(Controls Engineer) and 9 months for NOC 22310(Controls Specialist). I have the following questions:

1. What should be my primary NOC Code? Is It OK if I take NOC 21310 as my primary NOC as I do not have any experience with this NOC in Canada?
2. Should I select NOC 22310 as my primary NOC as I have experience of more than one year in Canada experience?
3. For the Last role and current role, my duties fall in two NOCs, NOC 21310(Electrical and Electronics Engineers) and NOC 22310(Electronics Technologist, Technicians). Should I select NOC21310 for both positions(Controls Engineer and Controls Specialist) to gain overall experience points under one NOC code (NOC 21310)?

1. Yes. 21310 is your NOC. You primary NOC is the one that you have at least a year of experience in.
2. No. You don’t have a year of experience in 22310.
3. You can claim Canadian work experience in mor than one NOC. You select NOC based on duties. So you decide.
