Primary NOC and Job offer

Hello,

When we create EE profile, it is required to enter primary NOC. Is it necessary that primary NOC and Job offer NOC need to be the same? If not, if someone does not have past experience (on paper) in Job offered NOC, will he get points for the job offer?
For e.g, I have 10 years of experience in NOC 2171, I will get a job offer in NOC 0213. In such a situation, would it be ok if I keep my primary NOC 2171 and Job offer NOC 0213? Will I get points against NOC 0213 even though prime NOC is 2171? Which are the documents the immigration officer would expect in this case?

What work permit are you on? Your primary NOC has to be the same as the job offer.

Presently I am on 2171 NOC, but due to a role change, I will get a new job offer under NOC 0213 and need to process a new WP.

If you are on a closed work permit, do you have one year experience to claim for CEC. If so you can use the job offer (job guaranteed for one year past PR) in your EE application.
