Hi All,

I have been following numerous posts and am grateful to see the replies that have been pouring in.

I have the below queries regarding the reference letter:

1. For my current employer:- My Manager would help me with the reference letter along with his business card on an A4 paper, which I believe settles the current employer issue. However, your expert advice regarding this would be grateful.

2. Previous employer - Although I am in contact with my previous managers, they have all quit the company. Thus, I can get their reference letters from them, however, the previous business card (the organisation where i reported to him) would be difficult to procure.

Can I for Query 2:
1. Only take his current business card and attach it with the reference letter that would be handed over to me?
2. Is it mandatory for the previous business card to be attached along with the letter? (I spoke to my consultant who says it is needed since the business card is a proof of employment of the manager as well)

Could someone guide me through an alternative about this? Getting one from the HR will be difficult since people whom I used to report to have quit the company.

Do guide me as I seem to be in a panic mode.

Thanks
Felix

If they have quit, it would have to be on white paper and notarised as managers who quit the company are not authorised to use the company letterhead. This will need to be backed by a LOE.

Hey,

Thank you for your message. My concern still remains about the business card of their previous employment, which is near to impossible to get if they have not kept one with then.

Is it okay to give the current business card only? Apparently, it needs to be proven that they worked there, is it?

Do let me know.

Cheers!
