Hi, I am applying for my PCC in Canada and Qn#20 asks me to fill in details about the addresses where i stayed in India .
Could someone elaborate on this please? Do i need to mention all the places i lived in India with the dates ?

I was residing in College hostels and i dont think anyone would remember me by name if there is a verification and i have forgotten few of the addresses i have lived in India.

yes. You can have overlapping dates as well, such as if you considered your parents' home to be your "permanent" residence, and a student room to be a temporary residence.

Sorry, I assumed you were talking about the CEC application (Background Declaration.)

I think what you mean is you are applying for the Indian PCC, is that correct? Others with that experience can help you better -
