Hi guys,

I have applied for TRV online on 12th Feb. I am planning to visit Canada with my parents. They have sent paper application the same day and their processed passport are already being sent back to CVAC. I should have applied with them but i could not submit due to some missing documents. I thought i will do online the same day and it should not impact the processing time. i guess paper is faster than online application.

Please advise the processing time for pretoria office now. On their website its 18 days, but i have read on the forum that it may take up to 60 days.

Processing times vary from application to application. It will take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months for their application to be processed. Unfortunately it's really difficult to guess.

Their passports have been dispatched from pretoria. we will know whether its approved or not next week.

Just checked my CIC account and the status has been changed from submitted "new" to submitted "read". I am assuming that now they have acknowledged receiving the app.

Waiting game begins.

My parents have received their passports today and they got 10-year multiple visa (Validity of their passports). There were a couple of other people who applied the same day as them who came to collect their passports. It seems that paper application is faster than online.

For me, so far, my application has been read only. I wish i had applied with them.

Tracking status changed on 19th Feb 2016.
Passport received on 22nd Feb 2016.
