Finally my application comes into the final step, visa stamping!

I have received the "Ready For visa - Prêt Pour Visa" email asking for my passport to stamp an immigrant visa within 30 days.

I need to prepare the following documents:

1. Passport
2. One self-addressed, pre-paid envelope with your complete mailing address so that we can return your passport(s) and Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents. Please see details in step 3.
3. One copy of this letter.

Step 3:

If you have a mailing address in the U.S.A.:

- The self-addressed, pre-paid envelope should be arranged with a courier that delivers between Canada and the U.S.A.

- Submit all documents by mail in a single package and send to the following address:

CPC – Ottawa – PR
365 Laurier Avenue West
Ottawa ON
K1A 1L1

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My question is, how do I prepare this self-addressed, pre-paid envelope with the US courier? Does Fedex support this kind of service? If so, how can I ask the teller to do?

Some people here said UPS is not trustable (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ups-prepaid-return-service-t29588.0.html), so I decided to use Fedex since I delivered my original application package with them too.

Yes. I sent my passport out on Dec. 2 (from USA) to Ottawa and I've got the returning passport on Dec. 18 (in USA).

It's simple and safe. You first register yourself an individual Fedex account online: http://www.fedex.com/us/oadr/

Then go to a local Fedex store to buy a large envelope as an outgoing one and write the TO address as the Ottawa Visa Office address (which is CPC – Ottawa – PR, 365 Laurier Avenue West, Ottawa ON, K1A 1L1, Canada in my case). This large envelope includes your passport, the print copy of the email and another Fedex envelope for returning on which the TO address is your home address (and FROM address is the Ottawa Visa Office office address described above). You also need to write your Fedex account number on the returning envelope so that Fedex will charge you after the returning mail safely arrives to you.

Don't forget to copy the outgoing and returning Fedex tracking numbers so that you'll see when your passport is arrived and your stamped passport & COPR leaves visa office and gets back to you.
