Preparation for applying PR outside of Canada

Hi, everyone.

I'v been living in Canada with my family since October 2014.
My wife had graduated College and has been working as a full-time worker in Ontario.

Suddenly, My parents are not in a good health condition so we decided to go back to my country(South Korea) at 1 January 2018.
So, I think we have to apply PR outside of Canada.

I looked up many postings in this forums and would like to ask you what I know is right.

1) We can apply for PR outside of Canada with study and work experience in Canada. Is that right?

2) My wife will quit her job at the end of this year. Is it sufficient to get 1 year work experience?

(Start - 2 January 2017 / End - 30 December 2017)​

3) What document will have to be prepared before leaving Canada?

a) Proof of graduation of College

- In case of Canadian diploma, we doesn't need it. Is that right?​

b) Proof of Work experience

- Copy of T4 tax information slips and assessment issued by CRA. Is that right?​

c) Police certificates

- We have lived here for four years so need it, Is that right?​

d) Proof of funds

- In case of CEC, this dosen't need. Is that right?​

e) anything else????​

4) If there is anything you can advice, please let me know.

I will try to answer your questions to the best of my ability.

1) Yes.

2) Technically you need to have 1-Year of Continuous Work Experience to be eligible for the EE program. I do not think that 2-Jan to 30-Dec is going to be counted as 1-Year though. If you or your spouse has 1-Year Continuous Work Experience, then make him/her as the Primary Applicant.

3) The documents you specified are all necessary though not mandatory I believe. I am more into the FSW stream so I do not know much about the CEC category. Hope the other seniors can help you on this.

4) Write the IELTS exam (General Training). For the Primary Applicant the IELTS is mandatory, for the dependent its not mandatory but it will help to add points to your overall CRS score. Have the educational assessment completed for the Primary Applicant. Its not mandatory for the dependent to have the educational assessment done but as I said about the IELTS exam, doing so will increase the CRS score. Have the Job Reference Letters ready for the Work Experiences which you are planning to show. Be ready with the PCC from all countries you have been for 6-months or more since the day you turned 18 years.
