Hi,

I am Canadian and I am the primary sponsor to my husband who is Belgian. It's almost been 5 months since we sent our application to CIC (Canada to Belgium process time is 8 months). Recently, I found out that I am pregnant.. With poor support here in Canada, I am in a lot of stress dealing with my pregnancy. Worried for my health and my baby's health, some co-workers suggested I email the Visa Office in France to report my pregnancy and my current situation.

My questions are:
- Does reporting my pregnant help expedite the process of the application?
- What is the worst that can happen if I do report my situation?
- Did anyone ever did this or heard of someone do this (I have)? And does it actually work?

Please answer if you know!
Thank you and good luck to all of you!

No - letting the visa office know will not expedite the process. The sponsor being pregnant doesn't change processing times.

However letting them know that you are pregnant is further evidence to show your relationship is genuine - so there's certainly no harm in letting the visa office know.
