Pregnant but want to study in Canada

Hello.... I would like to ask if i am allowed to apply for Medicare if i give birth in Canada even if I only have a student visa or if not how much would it cost to give birth in Toronto ... I am currently one month pregnant and i want to apply to study in Toronto.... Thanks for your help.

You would be covered under UHIP not under the Canadian healthcare system. You should look what kind of coverage that provides. You would have to maintain your status as a student to keep the insurance and your visa.

Assessment of your study permit application will be postponed until after your baby is born because you won't be able to give the x-ray
