Hello Members,
I am in a dilemma currently.
I started working full time on 20-May-2019 and my PGWP is valid till 12-Jun-2020.
I am expecting and the due date is 22-May-2020.
As per ESA, I am allowed to take Pregnancy leave and Parental leave.
However, I have the below question.
Can I skip taking pregnancy leave and only take Parental leave?
The reason I am asking is if the baby is born before 20-May-2020 for e.g. 15-May-2020 and if I start pregnancy leave from 15-May-2020, I cannot show complete 1 year of experience and hence, cannot apply for PR under CEC.
NOTE: I am already in EE pool and my score has been increased on 1-April. CIC added points for CEC on 1st April itself. However, if I receive ITA, I am planning to submit the application only after 20-May-2020 with a Letter of Explanation that my points were added earlier than expected.
Your comments/opinions/advice will be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Regards
