Hi everyone!

My husband and I are Australians, living in Vancouver B.C.

Here are some stats:
1) Been in BC and worked full time since April 2009
2) Have MSP and Extended Health Benefits through my employer
3) Granted BC Provincial Nomination on 2nd Sept 11 with Federal docs submitted a week later
4) I am the principal applicant and have sponsored my husband
5) Both have work permits until October 2013
6) Medicals haven't been called for yet (anticipate this in the new year)
7) Security checks for Canada and Oz submitted

We want to start trying for a baby and are wondering the impact on our residency application if we get pregnant before it's finalized?

We've decided to hold off until our medicals are done, so I can do the chest x-ray and avoid delay.

- Once meds are done, is there any reason to wait until residency is officially granted?
- Would we need to notify CIC that we are newly pregnant?
- What is the legal view of the unborn child by the CIC? (As in - it's not considered a legal person until it's born OR does it hold some kind of status given it's in me - temporary resident maybe? haha, sorry I couldn't help myself).

Thanks for your help!
