My friend applied PR since May 2006 and he was confuse because in CIC website his application is still in process . Few months ago CIC has already refused 300.000 applications which applied before Feb 2008 and will refund the fee. Why is my friend's application still in process? :o

And this question was so important you thought you needed to make 3 identical posts about it? :)

As I understand it, it's down to how FAR it's got through processing. If the SELDEC flag on CAIPS/GCMS record has moved past 0, then your friend should be safe from the blanket cancellation introduced in bill C38.

You may be able to get your friend to acquire CAIPS/GCMS notes to find this out.

It was error in a computer system so it showed 3 same posts..... ;D
My friend has already gave up .....He felt life was not fair because in 2007 he told his friend in USA who was not interested to immigrated to Canada and because his friend couldn't get his green card so he advised him to applied to Canada..
His friend got Canadian PR in 2010 but didn't want to stay in Canada....Then his friend's US visa is going to be expired and do not have any choices. His friend will go to try stay in Toronto in next September 2012 just because his friend thinks can go back to USA again.
My friend who is really really really want to stay in Canada but got refused from CIC because he applied before feb 2008. Life is not fair , isn't it?
