Interview........
Waived
So in November 2019 we learned through our notes that an interview was required and it listed the reasons. We submitted additional evidence and explanations to try and avoid the interview. Mexico City Visa Office then emailed us a few weeks ago to say we are in queue to determine if an interview is necessary. Today we were given requests for our 2nd medicals since the others expired in March. Also we received pre arrival services. Does this happen when we haven't done an interview or is it likely that they actually waived our interview?

I'm not sure it has a bearing on your interview at all. Hopefully someone with more knowledge on this topic can respond to that.

Generally, the pre-arrival letter is sent out automatically once you have passed the eligibility portion of your application. Congrats!!

Everything else was passed previously except the eligibility part for my wife who is the principal applicant. So I am hoping you are correct because that is all that was left .

Great! Here's the information I was given when I asked.

What does pre-arrival letter mean?
Pre-arrival services letter is good news......as it means you have passed eligibility assessment......and on-completion of background check which takes awhile (could be several months)......you will receive passport request (PPR).

Pre-arrival services: Who can get services - Canada.ca - Government of Canada

That is great! Thank you for the help!! Our notes say background and criminal are complete. Our medicals are expired and we're going Monday to redo. I guess after that we just have to wait for Mexico to open to be able to get the passport request
