I am applying to RENEW my permanent residency card.
During the process it made mention that the cost to do this was $50 but as I continued filling out the forms I came across a "payment" page and there it had listed two categories that might apply to me....at least they did five years ago when I first applied for the PRC.

1) Principle Applicant Fee of $550

2) Right of Permanent Residency Card for a fee of $490 which includes a $75 sponsor's fee

Nowhere does it mention the $50 cost of renewing the card

So, here's my question: When renewing the PRC do I just pay $50 since I already paid the other two fees during the initial application process five years ago....

Or.....Do I pay them $550 plus, $490, plus $50 for a total of $1090.

If anyone has gone through the renewal process and knows the true cost of renewing the PRC please help me out.

The cost for renewing the card is only $50.

When you are on the payment page (https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/epay/immigrationlist.do), make sure you click the correct link - Permanent Resident Document. After you click on it, you will be prompt to another online payment page which you would have to input the number of applications in the box beside the $50 in payment for the permanent resident card. Let say, there is only 1 application, so you put 1 in the box and click submit. Afterwards, you would be prompt to another online payment page which ask you to confirm and pay the money. When you click "pay", you would be redirect to the On-Line Services page (https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/ols/login.do?&app=epay&page=pay&lang=en) which you would have to input your email address and password in order to proceed further. Finally, you would have to print out the receipt and send the receipt with your renewal PR card application. Hope this helps!
