hi, im a newbie here i find this forum very interesting. im a filipina and i plan to take practical nursing in the philippines. i just want to ask if practical nursing graduates in philippines have to take Substantially Equivalent Competency (SEC) or just the BS nursing graduate? SEC is an assessment if the foreign applicant is eligible to take board exam. im just confused if practical nursing graduate must also take this assessment? anyway i found this one in a website:
Not educated in a recognized B.C. Practical Nurse program:
All individuals in this category must contact the College office for an application package to ensure that they are eligible to apply for practical nurse registration, and to receive the correct forms. Once you have been assessed as meeting the education requirements, you will receive an exam application form to write the CPNRE.
what kind of assessment is trying to imply? and PN graduate from philippines must have work experience related to the field of study before taking CPNRE?
thanks for reading though it was long.
