I am a Provincial Nominee under the AINP H1B program. I just got my PR visa and now I am planning to fly to Calgary. The issue is I'll be flying from outside the U.S to Canada and won't be able to land in Calgary or Edmonton directly. The first port of entry will be either Toronto or Vancouver. But since I am a provincial nominee, I would like to register either Calgary or Edmonton as my first port of entry.
Has anyone been through such a situation where their first port of entry is different than their planned destination? Can I still register Calgary as my first port of entry even if I have landed in Toronto/Vancouver?
What do the immigration officials do in such a case? Any experiences, help or guidance will be sincerely appreciated.
Thanks
