Hi Experts,,

We(me & my husband) are planning to apply for PR under CEC.
I am not working for the past 1 year (home maker), moreover don't have skilled experience in Canada.
My husband has got 6.5,6.5,7,6 - LRSW in IELTS.
Currently we have got 432 points.
He is earning $35000 per annum, $2400 per month.
He is working with PGWP & has got job offer but dont have lmia.

  • Can he apply PR for us together through CEC category?
  • Does his income in any way affect us in applying for PR?

If I appear for IELTS & evaluate my degree, then our score will raise upto 452.
Anyway it will take some time for me to take ielts & evaluate my degree.

  • Is it possible for us to update the score & credential evaluation details once after we submit our initial application?

While filling Express Entry Profile,

In Personal Details:
Under Family,

How much money (in Canadian dollars) will my husband bring to Canada to support themselves and their family?

We both are in Canada & moreover going to apply for PR under CEC

  • In this case do we need to show some amount in our bank account?
  • If so how much & for how long period do we have to save it in our account?
  • My husband is earning $2400 monthly, till now we dont have any savings in our account.
Apart from our expenses we can show $500 in our account is that ok?

My husband took 4 years to finish MBA in BC, Canada with some breaks in between but his period of studies is 2 years.

In Study and Languages:
Under Education History,

  • In "Complete/Full academic years" do we have to write 4 or 2?
  • whereas in "from/to" can we fill the exact starting/ending month/year?

In Work History:
Under Intended Work in Canada,

Does xxx have a job offer in canada?
The offer must:
be for full-time, non-seasonal and permanent work
meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification)

He is working with PGWP & has got job offer but dont have lmia.

  • So, What do we have to answer for the question, Does xxx have a job offer in Canada, Yes or No?

Under Work History,

  • Do we have to fill only skilled jobs?
  • Is it for the past 10 years of work history?

Please help needed.

Thanks,
Lekshmi

Yes he can apply under cec

It is advisable to get evaluated and do ielts to increase your points and your chances in the draw...

  • Is it possible for us to update the score & credential evaluation details once after we submit our initial application?
yes you can....

While filling Express Entry Profile,

In Personal Details:
Under Family,

How much money (in Canadian dollars) will my husband bring to Canada to support themselves and their family? Put 0 for CEC... that's what i did and many others too....

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
its fine as long as u guys score more than 450.
i suggest u and your husband to give celpip test and it is way easier than ielts.
IF HE GOT 6.5 IN IELTS then im pretty sure that he can score clb 8 in celpip easy which will help to boost up your scores a lot. just book a date and go their. trust me u will not regret.
your husband does not have lmia and its cool as long as his job is skill type o,a, or b. His experience in this job must be at least 30 hrs per week and the job should be permanent.
whats noc code job he is doing?
In ee profile, your husband only have to claim points for his job with skill type o,a,b. Any other work experiences will go under personal history(10 years). Cic dont ask u anything about your personal history. SO, your husband just gotta mention it in that part.
I hope it will help.

Thanks Jasmine. Now we have clear view to file through CEC. Your answers are really helpful. We were panicking about the funds and now we are relieved. Thanks for the info and your help.

You guys can submit profile now with your current score just in case if there will be a draw with lower score (then you get lucky). You can update/create new profile when/if you get you education evaluated and or test passed.
I agree that CELPIP is easier to take than IELTS. Also take your time and prepare well - language results help to increase the score significantly. (And you don't want to waste money to retake it again I guess.)
