Hello everyone,
I applied for citizenship and my file still in process and my PR has been expired too. I applied for renewal PR but for a family issue I have to go back home.
I tried to apply for PR travel document but in the site showing because I am in Canada right now I have to apply for PR . I cant apply for PR travel document.
Is there Any way to get the PR travel document . Because I am working right now and I cant wait 3 weeks or more out of canada to get PR travel document.

There's no way to get it while you are still in Canada.

An alternative, if you can legally enter the US, is to fly to the US then cross the border in a private vehicle on land. No need for a new PR card or PRTD.

Depending on the reasons travel is necessary, you can request urgent processing for the PR card application. See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/apply-renew-replace/urgent.html

The application for urgent processing requires proof of travel, including a paid for ticket, in addition to proof of the urgency.

There is no guarantee that IRCC will process the application on an expedited basis, but if there is NO doubt about your compliance with the PR Residency Obligation AND the reason is compelling, and you are not scheduled to leave less than three weeks from now, there is a good chance IRCC will expedite the application and send you a new card faster than the routine processing time.

Also note that actual processing times for PR Travel Document applications varies considerably, and in some countries might only involve a few days. So depending on where you will be, it might be possible to make the PR TD application immediately after arrival there and get the PR TD within a week. But of course there is always a risk it will take longer, even if you are in the UK, say, where reports of very quick turn-around times have been reported.
