Hello everyone,
I am in a big confusion right now. I hope you guys can help me with this.
First some facts about me:
1) Currently, I am working as a full time employee in an IT company. I recently completed my Masters Degree from Ontario.
2) I don't have one year of full time work experience, so I don't qualify under Express Entry (either through PNP or LMIA).
Right now, I am planning to apply for Ontario PNP(under Masters Stream). But I am confused whether I should go for it or I should wait for some time?
Question:
At this point of time, I can possibly think of two options out of which I could choose one to apply for my PR in future:
1) PNP and Express Entry:
Under this, I need to first wait for getting a 1 year of full time work experience in order to become eligible under express entry, once I have that I can apply for PNP and then go for express entry under CEC stream. The problem with this approach is that I need to wait for full 1 year and I have already given my ielts exam, so I need to retake it by the time I will apply for it.
2) PNP and Regular PR :
Another option is that, I can now apply for my PNP under Masters stream and once I get it, I could apply for PR through a regular PR application. This approach looks more convenient to me but the problem with this approach is that I need to wait for a longer period of time to process my application as the current processing time for this on the CIC website is mentioned to be as of 17 months, and this might increase in future as I think CIC might give more priority to applications lodged under Express Entry compared to regular PR applications. In contrast to this, PR under Express Entry stream takes only six months or less if you got nomination from CIC.
So considering above options, which would be the best option for me to choose from?
Any help and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
