Hi Folks ,

I am almost set to submit my PR application as have gathered almost everything except PCC for Thailand .
Thailand Police has a requirement that they must be presented with an official letter from IRCC to initiate PCC.

I have already drafted and signed request letter to seek this document from IRCC and have appended it with my Indian PCC which I have recieved from Indian Embassy in Thailand .

My query is what happens once I submit my application . Will they just send me the required letter and keep my application on hold, or they will meanwhile start working on my application .

Also I wanted to know the specific period in PCC requirement ,

On my Indian PCC it just mentions that I have no adverse information and the document is dated 30st Oct.( So that gives a sense of till date), but
No till date wording in the document , will it suffice the purpose .

Also it seems Thailand will provide the same with no mentions of the periods and not since when I first entered in the country with a period like from date to date .

Will both of them be OK.

Just curious after reading challanges faced by others on PCC .

Regards

Unfortunately no-one can reply that here.

In my understanding, some countries have a "till" date and some don't. For instance my Singapore PCC has one, my France PCC doesn't. Different countries use different formats.

Upload a letter saying you need a request letter from IRCC for obtaining PCC from Thailand. Submit this along with other PCC (Indian PCC). CIC will send you a request letter if they deem rest of your application is complete. I got my request letter in 10 days. By then, they updated my medicals to passed and updated the status - waiting for additional documents. So, from my experience, they will keep your application on hold until they receive all the documents.

Hi
Thanks for the input .
In how many days did you recieved the request letter, considering you have a PCC from Singapore and that's another country which required a letter from CIC .
Did they mentioned new period or duration in which you were asked to submit PCC

I submitted my application on 11 August and received the request letter on 23 August. They gave me 60 days to provide the Singapore PCC, I managed to obtain it in 1 week.

Hey, did you wait till the last day to submit application without pcc? My application is ready to go but I have 60 days to go. My one pcc that is pending may take longer than 1-2 months to come. Would it be advisable to submit right now with proof of application to speed up things?

When you apply for permanent residence, you will be asked to upload a police certificate. Instead, you must upload a document that states: “I am applying from a country that requires an official request letter from IRCC to get a police certificate.”

cic will then review your application. If it is otherwise complete, they will send you more information on how to get a police certificate.

Hi there - I couldn't get the Singapore PCC without a letter from IRCC asking for it. As the comment above states, I uploaded a letter instead asking for IRCC instructions/official request.

Hi. Can you share the process of obtaining Indian PCC from Indian Embassy in Thailand.

Also, how much time did it take to get the Indian PCC after applying at the Indian Embassy?

Thanks in advance.
