PR spousal sponsorship within Canada questions

Hi all!


I received a letter from CIC regarding my PR application under the spousal case within Canada that informed me that my application has been approved and that I must wait for the Ottawa CIC office to call me to schedule my final appointment. I called the call centre and the gentleman I spoke to said he was unable to tell me how backlogged the ottawa office was. When I asked him if he could give me a rough estimate of how long I would have to wait for them to call me he said 'your guess would be as good as mine'. I have a few questions for anyone that can help me please:

1.Roughly how long is the wait for Ottawa CIC at 200 Catherine street to call you to schedule an appointment?

2.Is there a contact number I can reach them in order to ask them?

3. From previous peoples experience, would anyone possibly be able to give me any sort of insight on how backlogged the Ottawa office is or how long they take to call applicants for the final interview once they've received the application from Vegreville?

Normally the local offices give top priority to landing interviews - it's not like your case goes into a processing queue with all other cases that get forwarded to them. But how unprofessional is "Your guess is as good as mine"? Fricking unbelievable!

I would expect you'd wait no more than a month to hear from them about your landing interview. Congrats.

lol. I was thinking the same thing RobsLuv. I didnt really care how unprofessional he sounded, to this day im just so HAPPY my application has been completed and I thank God as every day passes.
