PR Spousal Sponsorship under Family Class - Use of IMM5562E

Hi,

While applying for PR Spousal Sponsorship under Family Class, what is the use of form IMM5562E? Is it a mandatory form? Does the primary applicant has to fill this form even when they have not traveled outside their resident country during past 10 years? Also, do we need to fill in my (Spouse) travel history details in the same? If so, how do I represent that I am now a PR of the country I have been traveling to (Canada in this case)?

That form is only mandatory for certain countries. You should use the checklist/form generator on the CIC website to see what country-specific requirements apply to your spouse. If that form is required, it will display on the list. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/

Yes, as per the list of documents for Indian citizens, we need to include the form. My wife is the primary applicant in this case. Can you please comment on whether as a spouse I need to provide details of my travel history of past years even after being a PR of Canada? Any suggestions on how to mention the permanent residency status in the 'purpose of travel' section of the form.
