PR Sponsorship for Mother

Hi All,

As per the PR sponsorship application model of taking out 10000 applications in a draws one time yearly and my application has not been picked up in last 2 years draw.

I have a question regarding applying PR for my mother. As my father had passed away and I and my sister who are the only 2 children of our parents are PR in Canada.

Now since, my mother is all alone and she has no one to look after her, I want to apply her PR.

Is there any other category on human grounds that i can apply for my mother's PR in Canada.

Any advice is appreciated.

Yes you can try to see if can be accpeted under H&C grounds. You will likely have to show that there are no other relatives in the area that could care for your mother and that she can't care for herself. I assume there are many single parents on the PGP list and other PRs that have been waiting for some almost 5+ years to sponsor their parents. There is a program specifically for the purpose.

If your mother is inside Canada as a visitor, you can attempt a H&C application. You'd need to show she is pretty much alone in her home country with no other family to help her, and that she would be reliant on you or your sister to care for her.

She must be inside Canada to submit the H&C app, it can't be done while she is in her home country.
