PR Sponsor Forms: Places of residence, employment dates -- "to present"?????

The PR sponsor forms and the applicant forms often have boxes for dates of employment and residence. These boxes can be filled in directly on the pdf, but what do you put in the boxes for employment or residence at which you are still employed/residing? The pdf does not allow me to type in "to present," but I don't know what to type in for a date, as I am still employed/residing at my latest places of habitation/employment.

I don't want to do anything wrong on the forms, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

either print them out and add "to present" on the spaces that need to be filled in, or fill out all the forms by hand using black ink. it's not mandatory to fill them out online.

Would it be all right to type everything I can and then simply write "to present" in the spots that require it? Again, I just want to be sure I don't get my app sent back to me for a minor faux-pas.

from what i understand it's not an issue. this seems to be a common thing people do. i hand wrote my forms, so it wasn't an issue for me. it doesn't matter if the form is typed or printed or half and half. once you sign your forms, you are guaranteeing you are providing truthful info.

it is doubtful the application would be sent back because of something minor like that. generally the reasons forms are returned are because they are outdated or missing signatures. if anything it probably wouldn't be noticed until it arrives at the visa office, and they would just ask you to redo the form, still very low chance of that. i know i left a couple of questions blank, and it never came up as an issue.

In my case I just wrote the same date that I was gonna sign the form on.... hand writing may not be the best thing cuz u may need to "validate" this form before u print it out... n it won't let u validate with a blank field... I don't remember if this particular form had that issue but I remember another had this issue with the UCI field....

I had to leave it blank cuz I didn't have a UCI n it wouldn't accept if I left it blank... it also wouldn't accept if I put "N/A" in that field.... so I just printed the form out without validating and added a cover letter explaining the glitch....

CIC has revised the form so often since the time I filled them out.... i'm surprised they haven't corrected this issue by now
