PR sending passport question

Hi all, I am in the process for getting PR, Recently I got married my wife is not in canada with me but I have added her to my federal file. Now there are 2 question popping up in my mind.

1) When Visa office as us to send our passports for PR visa, how will my wife sends her passport because she is not in canada and mailing or courier a passport to another country is not allowed? is there any way ?

2) does the visa office require us to send our passports together ?

please help us out. Thanks :)

Yes CIC expect you to send the passports together but you should email CIC and let them know. They might provide a solution on this.

When a situation like this occurs, all you got to do is send your passport along with a covering letter stating why you were unable to send your wife's passport, then they will send you an E:mail with instructions on what to do. Arif.Jabbar is in a similar situation. We will follow his posts to see whats on the go.
