Just want to ask anyone who can give me advise regarding my concern. I just got back here in Canada after 2 1/2 years of being away. When I arrived I did not have a list of goods to follow as I have brought some of my personal effects with me (2 luggage). I had no more plans of having my other goods to follow that's why i did not submit a list of goods-to-follow to the customs border however, my mom wanted to send some gifts for my relatives here and decided to include the personal effects that i left in my mother land as well. She will send the box via DHL.
Will customs and border clearance question me regarding the items in the box because some of them will be my personal effects? (knowing that i did not submit a list of goods to follow when i landed last month)
Will it be alright if i tell them that I had no more intentions of having my other items of clothing to be sent as goods to follow when i returned to Canada but since my mother is sending some gifts to my relatives here, she decided to include the other items of clothings that i left in my motherland?
Will i be taxed for the gifts for my relatives? Will they open the box at customs?
