Hi, I became PR of Canada two years ago. I was in U.S for 16 years and currently running a U.S business in U.S. Because I need to be present in U.S for business purposes, I cannot meet Canadian PR obligations. My family is in Canada and meeting their Canadian PR obligations. According to OP 10 R61C, residency obligations can be met while working for a Canadian employer abroad. My questions are:
Does this rule also apply to someone who is running Canadian business abroad.
If i setup Canadian business and contract with my U.S business for profits, is there anything wrong with it.?
Yes, I would use my stay in U.S towards PR residency obligation, but I have no wrong intentions. Would there be any problems.
If I decide to relinquish my PR card because I would not meet residency obligations, would there be any problems for me getting a Canadian visit visa so I could visit my family in Canada?
If I don't visit Canada once I know I can be reported by immigration officer for removal, and once my Canadian citizen wife stays with me in U.S, is it true that after few years living with her togeter I can apply for renewal of my expired PR card.
Please advise. I would appreciate it.
