Hello, hope everyone here is doing good. My querh is about my PR card, it will be expiring February 2021. My question is, do i still need to renew my PR card since i already applied for Canadian Citizenship July 2020 but still have not received any response about it? Will greatly appreciate any insight. Thanks

Your PR card is only useful if you're leaving the country and need to come back.
If you're sure you'll stay in Canada until you have a new passport, well...

Well i dont have plans to leave the country any time soon even for vacation. So it means its fine to carry an expired PR card and its still legal for me to stay here?

Mine expires in Feb 2021 and I applied for citizenship is July as well. I went ahead and applied for the card renewal since we’ve had zero update on the test. Also, it can take up to 9 months to get the card. When I looked at the timeline in June it was at 248 days to get a renewal. I think it’s back down to about 140 days now.
If you don’t plan to travel until spring 2021, you might be fine.

Yes, absolutely. The card doesn’t affect your immigration status. It’s mostly for travel.
