I will be thankful if someone can advise.
I applied PR renewal together for me( principal applicant),for my wife and for my 3 kids in june 2014. 2 week back i got my PR only but not received for my family. Is it normal or all family members shall get togher. My case was shown online on ecas but my wife and kids case was never available on ecas. My client ID was for me or it is for my all family members. Why my family members did not received their PR. Pl share if u have similar case. Thanks in advance

You applied 2 years ago and only just got through. Was there any doubts about residency obligation.

While I do not have a copy of instructions or application form from 2014, as best I recall they consistently allowed only for individual PR card applications. There is no family application for the PR card. (Which should be obvious, which is what makes sense, since the application is not for status but to replace a specific document, the PR's status document; once a PR, the PR's status is personal, even if subject to conditions connected to a principal applicant, the PR's status is individual.)

The current online information and instructions are still a little confusing and incomplete, which appears to be due to the ongoing effort to fix and revise the mess left over from CIC's disregard for communicating to the public or even clients (and if the IRCC does not soon accomplish their revision of the online information, it is apparent they too might consider communication a low priority, which will be disappointing if that is the way things go). But the current form, for example, has no space for adding or making the application a family application.

In any event, while I am not certain about 2014, my best recall is that a PR card application could be for one individual only (which again, is the only thing that makes sense).

Any one having similar situation where PR received for some family members and some are still waiting even though all applied renewal together. If yes please share your case.
