Hi All,
My question is very specific, but not short enough to cover in the thread title! Here goes:
1) I'm a Canadian citizen. My wife is Canadian PR. Her current card expires end of this year.
2) We've been living/working overseas for a number of years. However, since we have been living together, I think she still meets the residency obligation due to "accompanying Canadian citizen".
3) We will return to Canada in a month, and then proceed with renewing her PR.
4) Part of the requirements for supporting documents for residency obligations (found in Appendix A of the online PR guide) is as follows: "all passports or other travel documents that the person you are accompanying used in the five (5) years before the application"
My question: Do the passports mentioned in Item #4 above have to be originals or copies? I can't find any mention of this in the guide. Obviously I don't want to give up my passport for the duration of the renewal process in case I need to travel during that period (which is a real possibility for work).
Many thanks!!
