PR renewal Processing time

Hi all

I recently sent my application for renewal of Permanent residency card in late October.

Website says there is a 70 day processing time and they are currently working on application received September 14.

My question is ..does the processing time start from the day my application is received ...the day they sign for my package or the day they open my application?

It is always from the day the open your application! When it takes them 1 month or 2 years to get to that point because there are many others before you...then it unfortunately takes that (extra) long.
