Friends, can u pl clarify my doubts on PR renewal.
Myself, wife and my two kids landed in Canada for d first time on 2010 feb 13 and stayed there for 13 days. Then we landed again on 2011 sep 2nd. My wife and kids r still in Canada while i left for muscat to continue the work due to contractual obligation.
Following r my querues
1. When shud i b again in canada to get my PR status renewed?
2. Wil i b able to re-apply for PR if d required days r not completec within d 5 years (2015 feb)?
3. What wil happen to my PR, if my family completes d required period for citizenzhip and i cudn't fulfil d required term?
4. If my wife gets a citizenship, will she b able to sponsor me for a return to canada?
5. If d PR tenure is not fullfilled, wil there be any chance to b blacklisted so that i may not be able to reenter canada or so?
Hop someone wil clear these doubts....

At the time you apply to renew your PR card, you must have 730 days in Canada within the previous 5 years or if you apply at a time you haven't been a PR for 5 years yet, you need not have been outside Canada for more than 1095 days since you landed because that means you still could meet the 730 day requirement.

2. Wil i b able to re-apply for PR if d required days r not completec within d 5 years (2015 feb)?

If you fail to meet the requirements, you would risk losing your PR status if you apply to renew your PR card. If you are in Canada at the time your card expires, you could wait for 2 years until you meet the requirements again and then apply. If you lose your PR status, you can apply again if you meet the requirements or your wife can sponsor you.

3. What wil happen to my PR, if my family completes d required period for citizenzhip and i cudn't fulfil d required term?

Then your wife can apply for citizenship for herself and the children. If she passes the test, they all get it and you don't because you can't apply yet.

4. If my wife gets a citizenship, will she b able to sponsor me for a return to canada?

Yes, even if she doesn't get citizenship, she can still sponsor you to return as long as she is living in Canada and meets her residency requirements.

5. If d PR tenure is not fullfilled, wil there be any chance to b blacklisted so that i may not be able to reenter canada or so?

When you enter Canada with your PR card to visit your family which I am sure you plan to do, the more time passes, if they know you are not living in Canada, they may start warning you about the residency requirements. They should however still let you in. If they decide to report you for not meeting the requirements, they will give you 30 days to appeal their decision and if you don't fight it, you would lose your PR at that point. If you lose your PR, if you are visa exempt, you would enter Canada with your passport like any other visitor. If you are not visa exempt, you would need a visit visa if you want to visit but your wife could of course sponsor you for PR again.
