PR Renewal before leaving Canada

Hello, everyone. I have a question regarding PR renewal. The guide for PR renewal says: "If you apply for a new PR card, your current one will stop being valid 60 days after the date we issue your new card. If you leave Canada with your existing card, you won’t be able to return to Canada with it if the new one has been issued and you don’t have it. If this happens, you’ll need to apply for a PRTD to return to Canada". I have a valid PR until the beginning of Dec. According to the Government website, the processing time for PR renewal is 72 days. I need to leave Canada in mid-September for a couple of days. So my concern is if I apply now and leave Canada with my current PR Card, and while I am abroad, my new PR will be issued, will it prevent me from entering Canada because I don't have the new PR Card? I don't have any problems with residency obligations. I live in Canada, and I just frequently have short travels, mainly to the US.

I would appreciate your thoughts.
