PR refused because of my job, but other person who applied with the same got approved

Hello everyone, I got the rejection letter couple of days ago and I am still confused how is that possible. Me and my friend applied with the same documents, including the T4, paystubs and employment letter from the same employer for same position. My friend got the passport request whereas i got the rejection letter saying they can't really find anything that proves that my employer is a financial institution( since i work for a loan company). I called cic but they said that its a definitive rejection and I can't even appeal. My consultant is suggesting to apply again so that i would be in the pool but since i got rejection once i am not sure how i am going to prove that my company is a Financial institution since we deal with the lenders and clients in US and have minimal online presence.

What was your and your friend's AOR? You really can't tell how your friend applied as each application is a different.

Have you tried ordering your GCMS notes? GCMS notes can tell about your application than their website.

Different employee reviewing your application. Given that you were the second employee with the same job applying for PR there could have been concerns about the employer and why there are so many employees applying for PR. Unfortunately there are some employers and consultants that employ people and say they are working in NOC 0, A or B but the employees have paid the consultant and employer and they aren’t actually doing the job.
