PR Query

I am currently based in Saudi Arabia from past 15 years. My wife will be applying for PR next Year. We are a family of 4 (Self, Spouse & 2 Children)

I want to continue to working in Saudi & my wife will apply for PR.

Question: Can I continue working in Saudi & my family move to Canada on PR?

Will this have any impact on the PR status.

If you and your family get PR visa for Canada, in order maintain the PR status you should be present in Canada for a period of 2 years within the five year from the date of your first landing. It means you can land with your wife in Canada up on getting the PR visa and can return to Saudi Arabia for work. That could be only for less than three years. Then return to Canada and stay there for 2 years within the five year time frame starting from your initial landing date.
