Hi There

I am a foreign worker and got my SINP nomination in May and ive also applied for Permanent Residency on May 6th and got the processing confirmation email from CIC on July 20th. Its been 114 days and I was wondering which category of processing times for PR Cards do I fall under? On CIC it shows 46 days for new PR and 176 days for existing PR. And also I haven't gotten any email from CIC in regards of my medical examinations which I have yet to send it in.

Thanks

Dude, you really seem to be missing a lot.

46 days is for getting actual PR card - after you have been GRANTED PR. No one can guarantee processing time for a permanent residence application.

If you applied under express entry (since that is the only way since jan 2015), CIC attempts to process your application with in 6 months but no guarantees.

With your level of information, i am assuming you didn't apply yourself, and somebody did it on your behalf.

Doing it yourself means you would have created a my cic account in which status updates of different phases of application are available.

Lastly, and most oddly - medicals in express entry are required to be done upfront - before submitting application. So i don't know what makes you think you would get a request for medicals. That used to be older system.

I didn't applied under express entry. I first came to Canada on a study permit. Then I graduated and got a post graduate work permit. After that I work for 6 months and applied of SINP which I got nominated for in May. And as I have read online on CIC site, I'm supposed to wait for instructions to submit my medical examination after I mailed and got the confirmation email for my application which I did.

Join the Provincial Nomination section of the forum and ask your question there re: processing times (make sure you specify which program you applied under). As the other poster explained to you, the PR card processing times don't apply. This is the wait time for the physical card - not the processing of your PR application (that takes much longer).
