Hello All,

i have done my bachelors & masters in Biotechnology i have 3.2 years experience in different fields 1.4 years i have worked as phone banking officer & 1.8 Years experience as Assistant Manager for journals publishing company so i just want to check weather i am legible for PR process or not

i have checked many websites and there was a lot of confusion when counting points some people says need to gain 1200 points some says 67 points.

as i can see that there are 3 Major steps for the entire process like

1. Educational Assessment
2. EOI ( Expression of Interest)
3. If selected ( Apply for PR)

for educations assessment i have found a website called WAS and i am not sure weather this website is a genuine and authorized website for assessment.

there was a confusion about language as well

I have attended IELTS and i have scored at least 7 and 7.5 in each section but where it shows second language i am confused to count it or not ?

i have few more questions as well but i don't want to post in one shot waiting for your valuable suggestion from every one.

thanks in advance.

Difference between 67/100 and X/1200 point

You need minimum of 67 out of 100 to qualify for Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) program in the six section outlines in the link below.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers/six-selection-factors-federal-skilled-workers.html

Only if you qualify (get 67 out of 100) in above 6 sections you are qualified to apply then check for your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score to receive and Invitation To Apply (ITA). CRS is comprised or total 1200 points (divided over multiple sections). You do not need 1200 points to apply for Permanent Residency. CIC conducts draws every often and publishes the minimum score for which they have issued ITA. Meaning everyone who has more then the minimum score published get an ITA. Last draw happened on 20-Dec-2017. And the score was 446/1200. Meaning anyone who had a score of 446 or above were issued and Invitation to Apply. This minimum CRS score goes up and down with every draw and 446 was as of 20-Dec-2017 only. Note you need to calculate your CRS, create an account, enter the pool with your calculated score, wait until your score is greater than that CIC publishes in the next draw and receive Invitation (ITA) to even apply for Canadian PR. Check your CRS score here. Sounds complicated but actually is very streamlined process.

Education Evaluation
WES is one of the few organizations that do your education evaluation as per Canadian standard. This is the one widely used and is genuine.

Language
Canada has two national languages, English and French. You can get more points if you know both but it is not necessary. English serves as a primary language since you have taken IELTS but if you do not know French you can keep second language as empty.

About your experience
You need a minimum of 12 months full time work experience in the past 5 years to qualify for FSW and apply for PR and the work you performed has to be in either skill type 0, A or B for your NOC. To know more about NOC. See below link.
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/find-national-occupation-code.html

***Note there are other ways to apply for PR such as CEC and FST but only FSW is mentioned in here.
