Hi,

Just a heads up for me as I plan to do short landing, I heard there are cases where CIC ask for new pictures for issuing PR cards. What would be the case if I'm outside Canada, can I take new photos outside Canada, and send them to a friend inside Canada to send it to CIC?

If you were careful to follow the instructions on the photo specification sheet, you shouldn't need to re-submit photos. I know some people have been asked to do this, but I suspect it was because there was an error in the photo's they originally submitted, not because of a change in requirements.

If you still have the instructions printed out from when you had your photos taken, compare them to the PDF currently found on the CIC website. If the specifications match and you are sure you correctly followed them then you have nothing to worry about.

Thanks bro, however this didn't answer my question which is:
Can I take new photos outside Canada, and send them to a friend inside Canada to send it to CIC?

Thanks,

AgMaA

Yeah you're right, sorry. I don't know the answer to that question, but hopefully you won't need it!

Someone else should have the answer though - there's a lot of smart people on this forum. :)

some time CIC asked new pictures for PR card.

Its better to take pictures from a photo studio in Canada get stamped and give to your contact person in Canada. In case asked by CIC.

The same I did. There are many photo studio in down town Toronto i.e. in china town
