I got request letter for resend PR photo again on Feb 10. I take 2 new photos and send express back to them on Feb 15. Could you please to tell me that how long I have to wait more to get PR Card ? Thank you

I'm in the same boat. The current processing time is 39 days, so at this rate, I would probably expect it at the end of March/beginning of April if we factor in time taken for delivery.

Because I am already waiting for 3 months and they asked me to send back 2 photos. I hope that i can get PR card at the end of Feb. Do you think so ?

Thousands of applications since Oct 2015 got delayed because of incorrect photo specifications that were published for PR Cards. The new dimensions are here:

(Source: an employee said this to me on the CIC helpline)

You have to wait the full processing time + 6 weeks as published on the CIC website... I'm in the same boat.

CIC is very unfair..
I have been waiting for my pr card for 4 months now..
I called a few times,agents tell me I dont have to send new photos...
Now, i received notice that I need to send new photos!
But I know someone who landed on the same date as I have, he had the same photo spec, and he received his more than a month ago...

Very unfair to me.....

This is very random. Unfortunately, you can't do anything about it.
My wife and I had photos taken from the same automated photo booth.
While my photo was accepted and processed for PR card, my wife was requested for new ones.
We sent the new photos mid-Feb and expect to receive her card by end of March.

This is very random. Unfortunately, you can't do anything about it.
My wife and I had photos taken from the same automated photo booth.
While my photo was accepted and processed for PR card, my wife was requested for new ones.
We sent the new photos mid-Feb and expect to receive her card by end of March.

Wow, its good for you,that you even know when to expect your card!

Me however,don't even have a freaking idea when will it take... Maybe a thousang couple of years,or at the mercy of the bureaucracy...

" random"? Wow, you know I have been "randomized twice by CIC... random criminal background check from inside canada..makes me think I am being discriminated hence my applications are below the stack

Well, I understand your frustrations, but I cannot comment on your situation as I am not aware of your circumstances.

They changed the specifications, and some applications didn't get in on time. My wife and I took from August to February to get our cards, and both got rejected even though we followed the spec. It happens, and the fact that there are inconsistencies doesn't mean it's unfair, anymore than it's "unfair" that some people win the lottery and some people don't. We all have a chance at having things go better, or worse.

Well, four things:
1. They changed the specs without proper transitioning. If only they pointed out I had the wrong specs when I landed, I could have saved time and money from sending the new photos.Its not that difficult to communicate that to the interviewing immigration officer..
2. Why wouldn't they send notice to everybody ( I would not have known that I need to send photos,if I hadn't called CIC hotline)
3. Yes,unfortunate events do happen. Accidents, calamity, etc... But this is something that they are in total control of.
Lets say you didn't receive your card a year after, because somebody in that PR card factory for some reason, doesn't like your middle name, or the country where you are from. Effectively, even if you tried your very best at making things better, you cant do anything.
4. And yes, it seems that CIC processing is more of a lottery.. you get lucky if your application gets through smoothly, you don't if otherwise...which is EXaCTLY why it is unfair!

Anyway, thank you for your reply. I am just venting out my frustrations here, I know we all had some, at some point

I received a letter from CIC. They said I have to send photo again. I landed with my daughter and on the letter it is not mentioned whether only I have to send the photo or both of us should send photo.. My daughter is 1 year old.
Can anyone guide on this?

Give a call to CIC and confirm. That's the best source of info.
