PR Online Application - Spouse Sponsorship

Do we have to mail in our paper application first and then link the application to our GC online account?

My wife is not eligible for Express Entry.

Right now, I have an online account created but cannot find anywhere that I can online apply for PR.

Can anyone advise me?

You cannot apply online for family class. Only paper submission per the checklist

What about the status of visitor visa? Say for example, the visitor status ends on Sep 27, 2018 and my application is sent on Aug 22, 2018. Do I need to apply for an extension of visitor visa while the PR application is being processed?

It seems my wife would automatically enter into "implied status" to remain in Canada legally after CIC has received my PR + OWP application. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

If by any chance, OWP is declined (but PR application is still being reviewed) , will my wife still have the "implied status"?
