Dear Senior member

My case is all abt PR obligation, i had applied for its renewal and RQ.

On advise of different consultants and lawyer, filed its withdrawal request its been almost seven month no update except In process marked on website.

Even Last week such detail was also nt there, means no status of my application as if it was nt there.

Not sure whether they hav accepted my request or not, if not then what next.

Have following queries:

A)Should i wait two year n fullfill RO, Then file renewal.
B) As RO is exempted if ur canadian citizen spouse accompany you outside, so can v get married hete with citizen n then file renewal even well bfr two year under this clause.

Plz advise as i cant travel n need to go baq for short trip

Kind Regards

You need to remain in Canada until you meet the RO.

A) Yes - you should wait until you meet the residency obligation before filing to renew your PR card. You should not leave Canada during this time if keeping your PR status is a priority.
B) You still have to meet the residency requirement if you have a Canadian citizen spouse. However the time you spend outside of Canada with your Canadian citizen spouse counts towards your residency requirement. Marrying a Canadian will not prevent you from losing your PR status if you do not meet the residency obligation now.

In August last year, you said that you have a fiancée that you were intending to sponsor. Why are you now looking for a Canadian citizen to marry?

It seems like you are CURRENTLY in breach of the RO; if you marry a Canadian Citizen it will do nothing to help you with that breach.

Thanks for your valuable input.

Is there any means i can travel without PR, As my mother is sick n need to visit but due to nt having valid PR, Cant travel now.

Plz advice on options

You can absolutely leave Canada to go be with your sick mother, however, as you already know, you are in breach of your RO and currently can not meet it to have your PR card renewed. If you leave the country, you may find it nearly impossible to return. There is really no way you are going to 'sneak' around the RO rules. Either remain in Canada for 730 and renew your PR card, or leave and go visit your mother. The choice is entirely up to you.
