PR land from border

Please help....

Here is the case...

I'm visiting my sister here in Canada on visitor visa. During the stay, I received the letter asking to send my passport to Singapore for PR stamp. So I sent my passport back home and got everything. Would it be possible if I go to border and land from there. Or do I have to fly back home and enter Canada again later? PLease help. My PR visa lasts until Feb 2009. It'd be bette if I could land now since I'm already here in Canada.

Any experts who know this, please help.

Apparently not, I saw on some other board that when you get to the american side, you just tell them that you only came to the border to land in Canada and then they turn you around and send you back to get processed. I would call border control to verify this if I were you, just in case.
