When looking at our status on the CIC website, I clicked on the understanding of the process. In there they have this:

"Sponsor Advised of Decision Made
We will inform you in writing of the decision made on your sponsorship application. We will send you a Permanent Resident Kit that you will need to forward to the family class relative you are sponsoring."

What is this permanent resident kit? Anybody know?

That process outline really needs to be updated. A time ago, it used to be the practice for the sponsor to send their documents to CPC-M, and when they were approved, the applicant's documents would be sent to the sponsor by CPC-M to send to their family members to complete and submit to the embassy in their home country.

As you know, that is not the procedure now. Everything must be completed and submitted together to CPC-M, which then passes the applicant's package on to the embassy.

So, don't worry about it, you've already prepared the permanent resident kit.

Awww.. okay that makes sense! Thanks for your reply :)
