PR, Is it mailed out to us or we need to go and collect

Hi,

I am applying for PR card. Is the PR card mailed out to the Canadian address mentioned in the application form or we need to go and collect once it is ready.
I am working in USA, so I will have to return after applying the PR card.

Experts suggestion needed...

Thanks for ur response, Explorer, I was going through the application guidelines for PR Card, where I can see in page 4 saying "CIC sends a letter advising you to pick up your card", where it further says the officer verifies the original docs and photographic likeness ... just getting curious on this.

Please share if anyone has not been mailed out the PR card and called to pick up the PR card
